Last week went fast. Spanish we did a debate and tried to improve our speaking skills getting ready for our presentation test. I managed to chose my topic and this week I made my first power point and speach ready for my assessment. I went to Literatur only to be told to go home because my essay was fine and did not need remediation. The class starts next week and we shall be starting Higher literature. I finished Investigation Europe and have been signed off by Joe. In communication we watched a guide as to how not to do a presentation. We must all think of our topics as well as organising a power point presentation. I am still refecting on what topic to choose from. I have some ideas and this week my goal is to do some reasearch and start my power point presentation. Maths, I collected my certificate and History I've handed in my essay. I have chosen a topic for my investigation, I must check with Evan that it is suitable. I have already started doing my research and I have borrowed some books from the library which I must start skim reading and taking notes on my reasearch.

So the plan for this coming week is to finish a rough copy of my communication power point presentation as well as start working on the bullet points of my speech.

Start history reasearch, revise for the History test we have on the following week too.

I must go to French class and catch up on the work that they are doing in class.

During the week last week I was good and went over my Spanish vocabulary and learnt it this method has always worked for me after every day just going over my lessons and if it's languages learning the vocabulary and writing it in my little vocabulary book. I hope this week I will manage the same.

Last week, was good I managed to hand in my literature essay, Investigating Europe is completed, my last history essay has been completed. I've finished maths, I intend to focus on my Spaish exam coming up soon as well as the history assessment too.

The next projects are the following.

Planning out my history investigation as well as looking into the different sources of information available.
Improving my literature essays. I've talked to Madelaine about this and she is happy to give me extra essays to do if I wish.

Studying my Spanish vocabulary more as well as the past tenses in practise for my assessment coming up soon.

In communications I need to think of a project to put on power point for my presentation.
I need to achieve this in the next two weeks.

New Year

Reflections of last year, well we're all back after the festive break. The first few months are over the university application has been done and the hard work must continue.
I have learnt a lot over the past few months, organisation would be the first main skill. Researching and most of all really understanding what the teachers are asking of me.
Essay writing has been one the main components I've had to work on too. I have found this quite difficult having to analyse and start critical writing. Now that I am back and have understood what is being asked of me I am ready for the next challenges ahead.
Investigating Europe was the main challenge, I feel that my time management wasn't as good as it could have been. It was handed in on time but I did realise by doing this project how much more disciplined I need to be with my time management. I feel that I let other subjects take over instead. But it was a very usful example of what we will be facing ahead.
